I've been where you are.
A well-known scientist friend
once called me off-beat.
At the time,
I was flailing in a puddle of neediness and worried over the remark, even
though he explained that he liked that about me. Today, I realize he hit the mark dead on, and
I not only accept that I am off-beat, but I embrace it! Hooray to me for being a unique creature! The needy part of me is
nearly gone too.
That being said, please don’t expect to read some boring posts
on mental health. There’s plenty of that online already. Also, I didn't want to get into the whole
Sylvia Plath thing that many depression blogs deal with. What I want to share
with you is my road trip through years of depression and chronic illness, with
side trips into anxiety, and hopelessness...I want you to share a sheltering
place where you can find encouragement, peace, laughter, and hope.
If you despair, there is Light. If you have anxiety
and panic, here’s a safe place. If you feel hopeless, here is Hope. If you feel that you are in a dark pit, here
is a hand-up.
As I've said... I've been where you are....occasionally I still
visit.
Thanks for visiting,
Raven
